NDUGA - In an inspiring collaboration, Bombam Village residents and Indonesian Armed Forces soldiers from the 503rd Para Raider Infantry Battalion/Mayangkara Kostrad, under the HABEMA Operational Command, joined hands for a community project aimed at enhancing local welfare. This cooperative spirit unfolded on Friday, October 25, 2024, as soldiers and villagers worked together to repair a resident's home in Kenyam District, Nduga Regency.
The project was initiated through social communication between the TNI soldiers and local leaders, building a bridge of trust and cooperation. Task Force Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Gurbasa Samosir, emphasized to his soldiers the importance of addressing the basic needs of the surrounding community. From these discussions, the decision to restore a local resident’s house was born, reflecting both the villagers' enthusiasm and a shared commitment to creating a positive impact.
Once preparations were complete, soldiers and villagers worked side by side, showcasing a vibrant display of unity and shared purpose. Residents like Mr. Isak Murib, a prominent community figure, voiced their appreciation, saying, “Thank you, Commander 503, for helping our resident repair his house. God bless.”
Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, Commanding General of HABEMA, praised the 503 Task Force for its commitment to working hand-in-hand with the local community. “This effort by the 503 Task Force not only reflects the TNI’s dedication to meet essential community needs but also symbolizes a new chapter of unity and progress in Papua, " he stated.
