Puncak - The Raider Infantry Battalion 323/Buaya Putih Kostrad, part of the Indonesian Armed Forces, is making a positive impact in Kago Village, Ilaga District. On October 14, 2024, during their security operations along the Indonesia-Papua New Guinea border, the Marines organized a fun music practice session with local youth at State Senior High School 1 Ilaga.
Lieutenant Colonel Tri Wiratno, commander of the 323 Task Forces, highlighted the importance of connecting with the community. The soldiers took this opportunity to engage with the youth, sharing their love for music and helping with their art lessons.
Local youth, including Matius Tabuni, expressed their excitement, saying, “Thank you, Commander 323. We are happy to practice music together. God bless.” This response shows how the Army's efforts are fostering a sense of unity and support in the community.
Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, the HABEMA Commanding General, praised the Marines for their initiative, stating that it reflects TNI's commitment to inclusive social engagement, which supports development in Papua. His recognition emphasizes the positive impact of such activities on community morale and development.
By bringing music and joy to Kago, the Marines are not only enhancing security but also strengthening community bonds and uplifting spirits.
